How did I miss that The Real World is in Austin this season?
Like most mid-90's teens, I loved the Real World, and have been a fairly regular watcher, even in adulthood. The show hasn't really been as good since the San Francisco season (The one with Pedro, Judd, Puck, etc.), with only brief moments of interest like New Orleans or Las Vegas (even though the interest in Vegas was purely the debauchery).
The past few seasons have been really worthless... so it doesn't surprise me that the start of this season has slipped by me. But I didn't realize it was in Austin. Maybe I'll tune in just to see if it is interesting at all.
UPDATE: Amanda says it sucks.

I've only ever watched the first season of that show. But, I saw a commercial for the Austin season and shrieked in horror at the mere thought.

I saw the second episode...They managed to have a fight in the middle of 6th street!! One of the guys has to have surgery to repair a broken cheekbone...Kinda made Austin look bad. Some random dude punched him. It was all very confusing how they got in the fight to begin with. BUT, they do spend a lot of time on 6th street, which is kinda cool...I get to see all my old haunts. One thing I didn't like is they put a sign up on the house that says "Austin" in neon lights. If you don't know that Austin doesn't have some stupid sign that says it's name, you might think that was already there somewhere in town. I don't know, it just felt kind of conceited to me. Or rather made Austin look conceited...
