Is it just me, or does it seem like nothing the Republicans are doing is polling well? Involvement in the Terry Schiavo affair? No, thank you. Social Security Reform? Stalling due to lack of support. Now, according to this WaPo poll, 66% of people polled disapprove of the proposed Republican plan do do away with the filibuster (you know, the one they want to enact because those obstructionist Dems are blocking all of Bush's judicial nominees despite the fact more of Bush's nominees have been confirmed than for any President since Carter).
But the dagger in the heart?
Which party better represents your values?
Dems - 47%
GOP - 37%
Ouch. There are quite a few red-staters who are beginning to become uncomfortable with just how beholden the Republicans seem to be to Sponge-Dob StickyPants and the Religious Right early in Bush II.
