... this is unheard of in the restaurant biz. Friday, Saturday, and probably Sunday I am off (I'm on call)...
So, here is my thinking... I want to spend the weekend doing, um, things... give me some suggestions of things I can do that will be different so I can plan my itinerary for the weekend.

Saturday/Sunday afternoon brunch always cheers me up (especially after one or two mimosas).
You could go ice-skating at the Galleria (if it still exists).
Do a double-feature at the movies.
Play scrabble. (i think it's fun. i'm a dork.)
Ted Nugent is playing at Billy Bob's Saturday (couldn't find any other suggestions for you on Ticketmaster).
Or... you can check out my brother's new website (shameless plug, sorry). www.jowlers.com and spend the weekend jowling around town.
:)

Find some local sight to which you'd send visitors but have never gotten around to seeing? Organize something, or get rid of clutter? Go to library and check out a billion books? Write a letter to an elderly relative? Volunteer for a worthy cause (soup kitchen, animal pound, something like that)? Do something that requires you to be outdoors? Julia's ideas are all great, too.

Or you could find a cute girl and stay in the whole weekend...

You should catch up on your museums. I know you like that. I've always wanted to spend one Saturday doing museums all by myself with no one to make me leave -- ooh -- especially the 6th floor museum in Dallas.
